Beta testing
Okay, we have played with this on our own for a couple of days. Now we are opening it up to a few more people. Let us know if it worked for you. Any suggestions? Tips from more experienced bloggers on how to make this work? Thoughts on private vs. public blogs? Thanks in advance for your help!

Blogs are interesting things. They're extremely important in the industry that I am going into so I have been studying them for sometime and am trying to find time to do some beta testing of my own. My recommendation on the private vs. public issue is this: If you want to control the traffic to your blog then don't allow it to be searchable on Google or through Blogspot. I'm not sure I would go through the process of inviting and having members just because you may want someone to go see pictures of your kids and haven't invited them yet, a web address is much easier. So, in short, if I were you I would make it public, but not listed, and restrict commenting to registered users.
