Halloween Happenings

The weather turned out perfect for our trick or treating and the kids had a ball. Maya has figured out what candy is and constantly begs for some from the kids stash. And our first Halloween with Jacob and diabetes was much easier than I anticipated. He has been really good about rationing the candy and since the fun size ones don't have many carbs, they are actually a good treat for him.

Here are the kids carving pumpkins. They both carved their own pumpkins, all by themselves. They even managed to not cut themselves!!

Here are the finished products. Katelyn decided not to put a face on hers this year, not really sure why.

And here they are all lit up.

David got really creative and ambitious and this is what his creation turned out to be. Notice the shadow in the background.

And here are the kids all dressed up. Jacob loved his costume so much, I think he wore it for some part of everyday before Halloween.

What great looking kids! Maybe you can use the candy for Maya as incentive to use those little feet of hers!
