I did compete in a race on New Year's Day in Boise. It was 18 degrees at the starting line, and there was still some snow and ice on the course. Luckily, no falls or frostbite! I ended up finishing in 25:35 -- not great, but not awful for a pace. It will certainly give me something to improve on this year. (And I did place second in my age group!
